SUMMARY:Anticipation 2019 Conference
DESCRIPTION:From 9th to 11th October 2019 the 3rd International Conference on Anticipation will be held at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in Norway (AHO). The conference will provide an interdisciplinary meeting ground in which researchers\, scholars and practitioners who are seeking to understand anticipation and anticipatory practices can come together to deepen their understanding and create productive new connections. \nAnticipation 2019 is a unique\, radically interdisciplinary forum for exploring how ideas of the future inform action in the present. It brings together researchers\, policy makers\, scholars and practitioners to push forward thinking on issues ranging from modelling\, temporality and the present to the design\, ethics and power of the future. This conference includes attention to design amongst other domains.

SUMMARY:THE DESIGN THINKING CONFERENCE
DESCRIPTION:THEME\n“Through Different Eyes. We live in the same world\, but not in the same reality.” \nWe’ve chosen the theme “Through Different Eyes” focusing on the importance of empathy and how we experience reality in different ways. This is a very topical theme\, connecting to the discussion on our polarizing societies\, and it also allows us to explore empathy\, a key quality of the Design Thinking mindset. We have invited an amazing group of people\, our members of the cast\, to help us look for the boundaries of empathy and how they overcame them. \nThe exciting new format of the conference\, inspired by theatre\, will help both speakers and audiences be engaged and surprised. In the true spirit of design thinking we will question everything\, so prepare to be challenged. \nMISSION\nWe believe that new approaches are emerging because our world needs new solutions to solve the problems we are facing. Design Thinking\, and other human centric approaches\, is emerging as a result. It is a symptom\, not an end. \nThe mission of the Design Thinking Conference is to keep the conversation on Design Thinking moving forward and push the boundaries as far as we possibly can. \nDesign Thinking Conference is powered by the DesignThinkers Academy Amsterdam.
